We tend to associate turkey with the fall and winter months but it’s actually a delicious protein that’s perfect for summer. We love it because it’s lean and light in flavour, meaning you can get creative and dress it up in a variety of ways. It’s also low in cholesterol and full of all the good stuff, like niacin, zinc, and vitamins B6 and B12. In fact, turkey is so nutritious, it’s been even labeled as a superfood!

Turkey Club Salad
The turkey club is a true classic but in the summer we often crave lighter, brighter takes on our favourites. Toss shredded turkey breast, crisp bacon and tomato with crunchy romaine for a salad-update. Top with a creamy buttermilk dressing and dig in!
Turkey Sloppy Joes
Messy and nostalgic, who doesn’t love a good sloppy joe? For a healthier spin, try subbing in ground turkey for the usual beef.
Turkey Tortilla Soup
While chicken is typical in any Mexican-inspired tortilla soup, we find turkey adds another level of savoury richness. Serve with plenty of fresh cilantro and hot sauce!
