Summertime in Italy is all about the Spritz, a refreshing, sparkling-wine based cocktail best enjoyed with a view of the ocean. With its bright orange colour and fizzing bubbles, there’s something very celebratory about this summer drink. It’s one part soda water, which means it has a low alcohol content—perfect for late-afternoon sipping!

The Italian Spritz
Combine 3 parts Prosecco (or other sparkling wine), 2 parts Aperol and 1 part soda water. Pour over ice and serve with a slice of orange.
Wait, what’s Aperol?
Aperol in an Italian aperitif. It’s made from delicious ingredients like bitter orange and rhubarb and gives the Spritz its orange hue.
