The day after Halloween is always a bit of a let down. After all that excitement— dreaming up costumes, decorating the house and stocking up on candy—it’s normal to feel a little deflated. To keep the party alive, we recommend using some of your leftover Halloween candy in creative ways. Not only does it give you and your family something fun to do on the first day of November, these quick ideas breathe new life into last month’s Halloween treats.
– Try chopping up peanut butter cups and folding them into brownie batter for a delicious dose of peanut butter goodness.
– Use M&Ms in a totally yummy trail mix: combine with peanuts, pretzels and banana chips for a tasty snack.
– Chop up mini chocolate bars and use as a topping for sundaes (we like to use O’Henry or Coffee Crisp).
– Reserve miniature bags of chips for your kids’ lunches. They may not be the healthiest lunchtime snack but they’re a nice once-in-a-while treat
