Cold, winter weather calls for cozy nights spent on the couch, a good movie on the flat screen. Being the food-obsessed team that we are, we have a few favourite food films that are in high rotation this time of year. We must caution you though: these films should not be watched on an empty stomach.
Big Night (1996)
A classic, as far as we’re concerned! Big Night is the story of two brothers who open their dream Italian restaurant in New Jersey and pull out all the stops to keep it going.
When Harry Met Sally (1989)
This film all hinges on that one famous scene at Katz’s Deli in Manhattan. “I’ll have what she’s having.” Enough said!
Romance, chocolate and a tiny village in France. Does it get any better? Make our Quick Chocolate Mousse [link to blog post] and enjoy while you watch!
Eat Drink Man Woman (1994)
According to many, one of the best food films of all time. Eat Drink Man Woman is a unique portrait of Taiwanese family life—a master chef and this three daughters.
Not so much about food—more about wine—but who’s complaining? If you haven’t seen it, watch it tonight. That’s all we’ll say.
