Get crafty this Easter with this fun Cookie Mix DIY. It’s quick and easy, here’s how you do it!
1 1L mason jar
jute string or ribbon of your choice
paper of your choice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips or other festive candies of your choice such as Mini Eggs
3 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
Start by mixing together the salt, baking soda and flour, then layer that mixture with all of the other ingredients in layers in your mason jar. You can layer them in any order you like, just be sure to keep the jar still so that you don’t mix all of the ingredients together.
You can be as creative with the label as you want by printing out the instructions or hand writing them on a piece of craft paper. The options are endless.
Include the following baking instructions on your card:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
remove Mini Eggs from jar and crush into little pieces for garnishing and set aside.
In a large bowl, cream 1 cup of unsalted butter or until light an fluffy. Beat in 1 egg and 1 tsp of vanilla extract. Add in cookie mix.
Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough, about 2 inches apart, onto a greased baking sheet. garnish with Mini Eggs.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes of until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks before serving. Enjoy!
